About
What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is an allied health profession which utilises creativity and art making to support the overall improvement of wellbeing for people of all ages. No art skills or previous experience is required, just a willingness to engage creatively with a range of materials.
Registered Art Therapists hold a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy together with at least 750 hours of supervised clinical placement. They complete regular practice supervision and are bound by a strict code of standards and ethics.
